The Better Choice
Complicated ba isipin?
May kaibigan akong araw-araw nagsusulat ng to-do list.
But of course, that comes with consequences. For example, if I choose to doom-scroll instead of working on my assignments, I’ll have a harder time finishing them by the deadline. It also leaves me with this low-level anxiety until I finally get my responsibilities done!
And that got me thinking: if we have to choose what comes first in our daily lives, what about our spiritual life?
Martha was busy doing something good. Mary was simply sitting at Jesus’ feet. And yet Jesus said Mary had chosen the “better portion.”
Pero ano ba talaga ang “better portion”? It’s not simply having a quiet time or following a spiritual habit. The better portion is choosing Jesus Himself.
When Jesus is our greatest treasure, the One we choose first above everything else, we can face whatever life brings our way.
In what way can you choose Jesus first today?
Tandaan mo, isa kang miracle!
