Ready ka na ba for real happiness? 😄

Do you want to be happy? Syempre naman—sino ba ang hindi! The thing is, sometimes our definition of happiness depends on external circumstances, things outside of us—getting what we want, or having things go our way in relationships, school, or our careers.

The good news is, meron palang kaligayahang hindi nakabatay sa kung ano ang nangyayari sa buhay. You can be happy even when not everything you want happens. Ito ang tinatawag na joy.

Ngayong Christmas season, malamang naririnig mo na sa mga malls ang mga pinapatugtog na Christmas songs. Today, as we continue our series “Good Gifts from God”, let’s take a look at the lyrics of the Christmas carol Joy to the World:

Joy to the world, the Lord is comeLet earth receive her KingLet every heart prepare Him roomAnd heaven and nature sing

Ngayon, basahin natin ito na nakasulat sa Bible. Isang awit ni Mary nang malaman niyang buntis siya, at ang dinadala niya ay ang magiging Tagapagligtas ng buong mundo:

Buong puso kong pinupuri ang Panginoon,at nagagalak ang aking espiritusa Diyos na aking Tagapagligtas! (Lucas 1:46-47 ASD) 

Nakikita mo ba? We have joy because the Lord has come. He came as a baby on that first Christmas, and even now He continues to meet us where we are. Kahit ano pa ang nangyayari sa ating buhay, pwede tayong maging maligaya dahil lumapit si Jesus sa atin. It doesn’t mean we won’t feel sadness, anger, or pain, but we have someone to lean on when things get difficult. Hindi ito nagbabago—He’s always near us.

Let’s pray together: “Lord, thank You for coming near me and giving me joy this Christmas. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
