One Small Step Today to Grow Your Faith—Gusto Mo Ba?🧐
Can I tell you a story? When I first started to get to know Jesus, lagi kong naririnig ang turo na kailangan daw mahalin ko si Jesus nang higit sa lahat. Isa ito sa mga tanong ng karamihan sa atin: paano nga ba palalaguin ang ating faith in God? At paano din ba lalakas o lalalim ang pagmamahal natin sa Kanya? Welcome to our series this week, “Growing in Faith Daily: Ways to a Stronger Walk with God.”
Let’s read this verse:
“… So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17 ESV).”
Nakikita mo ba? Faith comes from hearing. That means that if we want to grow in our faith, we have to prioritize hearing. At sabi dito, nangyayari ito sa pamamagitan ng pakikinig sa salita ni Jesus, na matatagpuan sa Bible.
But we have to admit, hindi laging madaling indindihin ang Bible. Pero alam mo ba, hindi lang para asa mga sobrang matatalino o mataas ang edukasyon ang Bible. Dati kasi, ang mga pari lang ang itinuturing na nakakaintindi ng Bible at may karapatang ituro ito sa mga tao.
But during the Christian reformation years, people like Martin Luther did all they could to make the Bible accessible to the common man. Isa sa mga ginawa nila ay ang pagsasalin ng Bible sa sariling mga wika. And the good news is, meron ding Bible translation in Tagalog, or in some of the other local languages we have in the Philippines, like Hiligaynon or Bisaya.
Kaya ito ang challenge sa iyo: can you set aside a bit of time everyday to read the Bible? You can start with the verses in this daily email, or use a reading plan. Kahit kaunti lang, you can start to know God more.
