Can You Keep Going?
Have you ever been excited about something you really wanted to do, only to lose heart because it felt like no one was supporting you?
May kaibigan kami na noong bata pa siya, gustong-gusto niyang matutong tumugtog ng piano. May piano naman sila sa bahay, so you’d think madali lang para sa kanya na matutong tumugtog. Pero may isang problem—hindi interesado ang parents niya na gumastos para sa music lessons. Para sa kanila, mas importanteng tutukan niya ang academics.
At dahil dito, natuto siyang tumugtog mag-isa.
Years later, nagkaroon na siya ng sariling anak. He made sure that whatever interests his son had, he would support it with lessons, as much as possible. Hindi naman natin sinasabing mali ang parents niya o tama ang ginawa ng kaibigan namin. We all have our own limitations and weaknesses.
But maybe you can relate to his story.
Sometimes, when we pursue what we believe God has placed in our hearts, hindi lahat susuporta. Minsan, finances ang problema. Minsan, circumstances. At minsan, even the people closest to us don’t understand.
But Romans 8:31 NIV reminds us: “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Nakikita mo ba? Kung tinutulungan tayo ng Panginoon, kahit anong hadlang, pwede nating ma-overcome. God being for you doesn’t mean everything will be easy. It means no obstacle is greater than the One who is with you.
So when you feel discouraged, look to Jesus, who said, “Take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NIV)
Let’s pray this:
“Lord, I’m feeling discouraged right now. Help me overcome every difficulty and fulfill Your plans for my life. In Jesus' name, amen.”
If walang ibang sumusuporta sa’yo, naniniwala ka bang sapat ang presence ni God para magpatuloy ka?
