Can You Imagine Someone Giving Up Everything Just for You?🤯
Since we’re on the topic of value… curious lang kami, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought so far? Cellphone, laptop or tablet? Or baka naman bahay o sasakyan?
Recently, may kaibigan kaming bumili ng secondhand car—in cash—as recommended by financial trainer Dave Ramsey. Isa siya sa mga trusted teachers on how to handle money wisely. Hindi maintindihan ng iba kung bakit hindi na lang sila bumili ng brand-new car via a bank loan. Sinunod nila ang payo ni Dave Ramsey, who explains that the value of a car drops tremendously the moment someone starts using it. For example, kung P700,000 ang bili mo, within a short time of use, malaki agad ang ibinababa ng value nito, at hindi mo na puwedeng ibenta sa original price.
Bakit namin naikuwento ito? Well, partly as a side piece of advice, but more importantly, it reminds us that the value of things can change over time.
And how about our value to God? Alam mo bang ito ang isang bagay na hindi kailanman nagbabago, kahit ano pa ang gawin mo? Whether we’re good or bad, God values us the same. He even gave His life for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). Let’s look at this parable:
“Ang paghahari ng Langit ay maihahalintulad sa kayamanang nakabaon sa isang bukid. Nang mahukay ito ng isang tao, itinago niya itong muli. At sa tuwa niyaʼy umuwi siya at ipinagbili ang lahat ng kanyang ari-arian, at binili niya ang bukid na iyon. (Mateo 13:44 ASD)
Can you imagine someone valuing you so much that he would sell everything he has just to have you? Ganyan nga ang ginawa ni Jesus, ibinigay Niya ang buong buhay Niya para mabayaran ang kasalanan mo at maibalik ka sa Kanya.
Tandaan mo, isa kang miracle!
